20 bulbs.
Allium Sphaerocephalon (Drumsticks). Horribly named but commonly called 'Drumsticks' thankfully. Height 60cm. Flowers in June and July. This is a fantastic little Allium for planting en masse. They can be planted at the same depth as Tulips. As the flowerheads can be heavy on slim stalks I prefer to plant them deeper to give the stems more support. It means they flower a litte later. I also love growing them through decorative grasses such as Stipa Tenuissima. Leave spent flowerheads in place for birds this variety should slowly self seed and naturalise.
Alliums like a sunny spot in well drained soil. All bulbs prefer good drainage and we strongly recommend adding grit, gravel or sand to planting holes to aid drainage.
